Can. Light lactic caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber with large head. Lightly sweet caramel malt flavor with a light lactic finish. Not bad - would have liked a stronger malt presence.
I really liked this marzen. Good rich mouthfeel. Just enough malty sweetness to make it a easy drinking fall beer. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2012
On tap at the gastropub. Mildly hazy orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Some lace. Very interesting flavor, hint of orange to the toasty malts. Little caramel, light spicy hop. Sort of a zesty / sweet taste, light tart. Smooth, lighter carbonation, good soft dry texture. I’m impressed, much better than expected - unusual for a festbier, but I’m liking it olsonerr (37) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2012
Copper to brown color with excellent clarity. Aroma is much more floral and less malty than I expect from the style, and palate is much lighter as well. Prefer a heavier malt presence from this style, although certainly not a bad beer. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Can. Sour malt aroma. Hazy amber with a small ivory head. Sour/lactic malt flavor with some light bitterness. Light body, lively spritzy carbonation. Not like any marzen I’ve ever tried, but not bad.
