I had this version on nitro in downtown Madison. The nitro actually worked in this brew. It helped push the normally delicate Hallertau hop aromas and complimented the creamy feel of this malt bomb. This brew has lots of sweetness and just a bit of tea-like hops. Very drinkable.

Draft: (nitro) Light copper/amber with a creamy tan head. Slightly sour grain malt, caramel aroma. Lactic caramel malt flavour.... just ok....the sour tang just seems to be off-balance with the whole beer....

Rated on 7-04-2015 at Great Dane. This draft beer’s appearance is a small creamy smooth off-white head that is mostly lasting, amber transparent body, no visible carbonation observed, and excellent lacing adorns the glass. The aroma is light hops, malt and sweet. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. A quaffable sweet tasting session beer.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop. The flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The soft flavor contained notes of mild lager mild hops and malt. Not one that I would drink again.

Sample at the downtown brewpub. Clear mahogany color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

It’s nothing special, but it’s a very dirnkable red lager. Smooth and roasty, some sweet caramel flavors on the finish. Definitely enjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes a clear reddish brown with a decent off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and florals. Taste is similar. Very thin.

Had it tap at the Great Dane downtown location in Madison. Poured a great head and long lasting lacing and a clear amber hue. No aroma, watery hop tasting front side with a sour hop tasting backside.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Tasted on tap at Great Dane’s Downtown location. Poured a clear amber with a frothy head and full even lacing. Watery tasting. Not much happening here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
