Sample (well, a quarter of my bro’s pint) at the Eastside location, July 27th. Also multiple pints at the Hillside location over the past three years. Clear, slightly oily medium to dark amber-gold body with a bit of lasting froth and some lacing on the sides...juicy, fruity nose - apricot, mango, perhaps just a bit of indistinct citrus, a touch sweaty...body is more sweet than bitter, and that carries all the way through; somewhat syrupy mouthfeel, sticky even as it warms. This was pretty good when cold (though the aroma opened up more as it warmed) but became a bit tough to drink when at cellar temp or above. deyholla (11481) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 31, 2016
On tap at the Wausau. Pours w clear amber gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a pine and grapefruit with some sweet grains supporting. Flavor has sweet grains with some bitter citrus and a bit of resin. Nero55 (935) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Draft. Copper with thin white head. Aroma of citrus and hops and some biscuit. Medium/heavy body, moderate hop bitterness, and a full malt body. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 9, 2014
Taster on tap at GTMW. Clear amber orange color. Thin ring of off-white head. Some dots of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, light crisp lighter carbonation. Light slick texture. Good piney orange citrus hop aroma. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, lighter sweet taste. Drinks like 8% or so. Solid DIPA, enjoyable. nuplastikk (6206) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 7, 2014
2 dollar pint at One Barrel for the last day of Madison Beer Week 2013. Burgundy unfiltered amber body. Steady off-white head. Muted, sweet aroma. Big, malty, piny. Not really par for the course, but not sooo bad, taste like mid-range 90s beer. Not really enjoyable to drink. Big, rich, flowery. It sort of screams mediocre. OK...maybe.

Had it on tap at Great Dane Brewery. Pours a murky copper hue with a clean crisp hop aroma. Smooth hop taste, not overbearing or bitter. jmcgavin12 (492) - Madison, USA - APR 13, 2013
Pours a dark cloudy orange with a bit of lacy head, Aroma is strong with hints of resin and citrus. Lots of strong hoppy notes. A great sweet but strong bitter taste. Definitiely has a bit of boozy notes as well. Long bitter finish lasts for long after the sip. Great beer wilnatp (692) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Tap. Pour is a cloudy orange. Aroma of grapefruit, lime, orange, and a hint of pine. Taste is very low in bitterness, almost sweet. Slight spice in aftertaste. crossovert (12614) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 11, 2012
West coast my freaking ass. This is a sweet and syrupy DIPA that is good, but not great. badgerben (5108) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2011
Growler courtesy of BDR! Didn’t get this open for about a month, so fair notice. Dark copper color with a medium head. Danky hop aroma, light citrus notes. Maybe caramel after warming. Moderate to strong bitterness with some dank hop flavor. A bit vegetal. Caramel and toasty/biscuity taste. Almost full bodied. Pretty tasty.
