Clear, dark amber pour, modest beige head, slight lacing. Lightly caramelized malt aroma, quite doughy. Flavor is mostly a sweet chocolate malt, with just a bit of a bitter resinous edge to it. Medium bodyied, very drinkable. SrSilliGose (3324) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - AUG 25, 2009

On draught during Great Taste of Midwest 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin as Organic Nut Brown Ale at the brewery booth. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some honey, a touch of maple and chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel and chocolate malt, some flowery hops and a touch of roasted nuts. Finish is semi-sweet with a malt and toffee aftertaste and very little bitterness. Nice for an organic brown ale. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2009

Shaker served at Doty St. with a fairly clear, brown color, modest, light tan foam to the head, and faint streaks and spots of lacing. The aroma was lightly toasted, almost a little roasted, nutty, with maybe some cocoa. The flavor added some smooth malt, and average bitterness. Light and fairly balanced notes across the board. Tasty. stangger (619) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2011
On tap at downtown location. Minimal aroma. Watery, nuttiness, some malt elements. Pretty weak. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2010
On tap last night at the Dane: Poured a dark mahogany colour with a large tan head. Aroma was instantly nutty- so clean, so clear to my nose, so-NATURAL ! Taste was decent, light and creamy with nutty and toffee notes. A little bit of coffee perhaps. Otherwise an average beer from the GD." JPDIPSO (6298) - Wauwatosa, USA - NOV 16, 2009
Oxidized copper color with a moderate light beige head. Aromas of caramel, toasted malt and nuts, and a dark fruit and doughy backdrop. Beernuts come to mind with flavors of caramel and picnic peanuts. Bits of earthy hops in the late middle to finish. Touches of roasted malt in the finish as well. Standard brown ale. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 11, 2010
[Tap] Sampled back in mid-December. Pours a hazy brown color without much head. Aroma of hazelnut and caramel. Taste is of light chocolate, brown sugar and some modest hopping towards the end. Doesn’t offer a whole lot taste-wise, but decent for an organic brew.
