UPDATED: OCT 24, 2016 A classic oktoberfest. Clear amber color. Sweet aroma of cracker malts with herbal hops. Taste is toasted malts, earthy and herbal hops, some metallic. Crisp and drinkable.

I think this is the best of the okfest that I’ve had (about a dozen ) this year. This has the closest to that toastyle finish that I crave.

Draft at Great Dane. Deep amber with dissipating head. Bready. Caramel. Earthy hops. Some fruitiness. Chewy. Quite sweet and very rich. Tasty and satisfying but really it seems too much.

A pretty good and caramel malted Oktoberfest bier. Lots of roastiness on the nose and palate. Pretty drinkable, and a good example of the style.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 12, 2012
On tap at Great Dane – Wausau. Poured clear copper with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up toasted nutty and caramel notes with fresh fruity and leafy accents.. crisp and well-presented. The flavor found nicely-toasted caramel and chewy bread at the core.. fruity hops and a touch of tartness around.. odd, slightly funky fruit on the finish. Light-medium bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow. This started out much better than it finished.

Brewed to style, and brewed very well to style. Amber color. Big, rich malt flavor with grassy, Germanic hops. Fine. (on tap at brewpub)

On tap at Great Dane Fitchburg. Clear copper with next to no head. Aroma of toffee, Munichesque malts and grains. Taste of toffee, burnt malt and corn. Mild dry and lightly bitter on the finish.

cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - OCT 14, 2010
On tap at brewpub, pours a clear amber with thin white head,m aroma is of sweet malt and the taste is much of the same, boring overall, this is a lot sweeter than I was expecting.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2009
On tap, Great Dane, downtown. Pours a clear orangish copper with a small off-white head. Clean munich malt nose with just a light hint of hoppiness. The flavor is pretty good, caramel and munich malt with a moderate bitterness on the finish that makes it pretty crisp. Medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Decent, but not a standout.
