Many different hoppy tastes in this brew: flowers, pine, grapefruit, and lemon peel, but suprisinly the pine is the strongest. Quiet in the background are toasted, sweet malts. With just a hint of them, they don’t really change the overall flavor of the beer, but it does give it some balance. A clean, fresh aftertaste helps to make this an enjoyable beer. hezron (614) - Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2005
Nice cascade hop or grapefruit aroma. Cloudy golden-copper with a thin and creamy white head. Great roasted caramel and maple flavor with lots of hops in the finish. Light to medium body, decent carbination, good feel. heemer77 (5362) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAY 25, 2005
The body is a light cloudy orange with a white head. The aroma is the expected grapefruit, bread and flowers. The taste is cinnamon toast with a little grapefruit. Decent. BCAR (223) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2005
Sweet aroma with medium hop nose. High carbonation with mild hop flavor and a slight bitter finish. Pretty average pale ale could use some more roundness to the ale. Terminus (3755) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 6, 2005
tap at brewpub-fitchburg, WI-pours light orange with some good lacing. beautiful citrus notes in the aroma. I detect massive amounts of cascade hops. fruity and flowery. nice piney flavors-sweet but not overly bitter. may have used a more citrus hop for the finish. Great lacing. Could be their best beer that day.

Nice off white head that lingers well, hazy reddish yellow. Grapefruit prevalent in nose and flavor. Spicy and crisp. Heavy hop finish. Nice overall. NeonLX (261) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 15, 2004
On tap at Red Robin restaurant. Slightly disappointing. Oh sure, there was some wonderful floral hopping and it tasted good, but it seemed rather watery and thin. Nice amber color with a quickly dissipating head. Good floral nose. Iniitial taste is somewhat weak with a decent followup of hops. Good, but not great. On tap, Madison brewpub. Very full body, white retentive head, nice orange amber color. Strawberry aroma and taste upfront that tapers off to a general sweetness. Too fruity-sweet througout. Should finish with more bitterness. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 22, 2004
Amber Coloring. Sweet. Hops. Pretty Smooth. Not all together bad. If you can see through it, is it really beer? muzzlehatch (4977) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 1, 2004
Lightly yeasty, fruity aroma, nice bitter caramel beginning, fades quickly to an extremely soft, bland finish.
