Draft at the Great Dane-Downtown Madison, served in a 10 oz. glass. The imperial pints had already gotten the best of me. Downgraded. Pours a clear orange-gold color with a small, slightly off-white head. Notes of grass, herbs, straw, pale and toasty malts, and some citrus. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, bitter mouthfeel. Very fresh. Nice IPA. DedicatedToFun (4003) - Santa Monica, California, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Good ipa on tap at the brewery in madison wi, nice hoppy and bitter good stuff Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 8, 2013
Draft at the downtown brewpub. This is a clear, dark amber brew with a medium, sticky head. Drinks quite smooth, if a bit metallic perhaps. Doubt this is a "winter seasonal" since I had it for July 4th brunch. (#5133, 7/4/2013) ChiGuy68 (616) - Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Tasted on tap at Great Dane’s Downtown location. Poured a clear amber with an off white head. A sweet mango aroma. A smooth hop taste with too little bite.

Had it tap at the Great Dane downtown location in Madison. Poured a clear amber hue with a foamy head and a hop alcohol aroma. Bitter hop taste with notes of alcohol.

Draft at the Great Dane in Wausau. Pours a clear amber color with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is lightly hoppy, some pine. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, pine hops, with a bitter pine finish. Underwhelming. AWISLguy (3327) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 3, 2012
On cask at the Doty brewpub. Pours from 10 pulls on the cask and comes out very cloudy sandy/muddy tan that eventually dissipates into an unclear orangey-brown with a firm head. Naturally being from cask, great retention on the head. Aroma has resin and citrus and some pine, all somewhat muted. Taste is of sticky resin, sweet caramel, slightly bitter grapefruit and orange, and spruce. Sticky full body. A touch of an off flavor up front, but through the glass it became less off-putting. Finishes bittersweet and of medium length. Didn’t love, didn’t hate. Fairly easy drinker. nuplastikk (6454) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Draft at Wausau. Toasty classic sub-par brwepub IPA. Unfiltered cloudy orange-brown. Thin, oily head laces the glass. Moderate orange-citrus, relatively well balanced. Somewhat mild and watery, not so memorable. OK, but too watery to love. My numbers seem way too generous. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2012
On tap at the brewpub in Madison, WI. Pours a deeper golden, slight orange tinted body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is light with some sugary florals and stale hops with a thin, but sweet caramel. Flavor is really sweet. Lots of sweet orange fruits, some earth and lemon pines, thin caramels, and a slightly buttery toffee. Finishes sweet and fruity with a moderate bitterness that dries this lightly. Lengthy aftertaste following a light body and a light carbonation. Overall, this wasn’t a very good IPA. Really sweet and fruity with a soapy hop bitterness and an off flavored caramel. brian60625 (756) - Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Pitcher at the downtown brewery. Heavy fruit flavor, very big alcohol presence, and something weird must have been going on with the taps because it was completely flat with no carbonation. No foam retention after the initial 10 seconds after the bartender’s pour from the tapper. Bitter at the end and thick bodied. I’ll have to try it again some other time to give it another chance.
