This pours a clear, dark yellow color with a slight white head. The aroma is slightly malty. The flavor is mild and good for a pils. Lots of grain and hints of citrus. Dogbrick (14316) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Sample at the downtown brewpub. Clear pale yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a sparse film. Spotty lacing. Grassy hops and bready malt in the nose. LIght body with flavors of herbal hops, yeast and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short spiced hops aftertaste. Barely average overall. clear, sparkling yellow.
buttered popcorn and sweetish candycorn nose.
sourish mint leaf grassy hops.
egg shells and sulfur are quite high.
fizzy and rough; coarse and brash acids.
A snappy pils with more hoppy bitterness than malty sweetness. A bit of caramel and, hmmmm, maybe lemon on the aroma. Enjoyed on tap with the kick-butt meatloaf at the original Great Dane. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Thirsty Troll Brew Fest. Pour is gold with a white head. Aroma shows pale malt and grassy hops. Flavor shows pretty much the same with maybe a touch of citrus hiding in the background. Overall body is light, crisp, and finishes with light bitterness. Nothing offensive, just not very interesting. Lubiere (14243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2012
A golden lager with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a light acidic malt with light German hops. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with German hopping, boring. On tap at Madison airport location, Jan 22 2012. dekester1 (371) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 18, 2011
On tap at the Wausau GD. Served a mid gold with a nice frothy head that faded slowly to a nice lacing. Aroma was of malt and hops. Taste was similar with Pilsner-like hop predominance but mild, not bitter, in nature. The mouth was decent. Overall, a decent pilsner. Sammy (12995) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 8, 2011
On tap at the downtown brewpub. Neutral aroma, light coloured but noticeably lacey. A decent drinker, with a mild bitterness as denoted by 13 IBU. Serviceable sessionable, at 5.4% abv.
