rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2017 Had at the Madison location. Interesting stuff. Somewhat like drinking a jolly rancher but works a little better than that. Serving: Tap

Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - JUL 26, 2009
Tap at the Wausau location. Dark pinkish/red color with a light pink head. Lots of sweet watermelon aroma. Flavor was very big watermelon as well, very refreshing and pretty good stuff.

Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 6, 2009
On draught at the Wausau brewpub location. Pours a hazy salmon pink colored brew with a thick and fast dissolving pinkish/off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of jelly bean with a hint of banana esters, honey dew and some golden grain malt with wheat. Taste is quite sweet with flavors mostly of mellon, some candi sugar, honey and golden grain malt. Finish is quite sweet with a lingering jelly bean and mellon aftertaste.

phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 13, 2009
Just had this on tap last night at the downtown Dane: Pours a bright hazey orange colour with a big bouqet of flowers, fruit and spices. Watermelon, raspberries other berry fruit. Taste was a little too much. Like really too much. Way too sweet for me. And i guess this makes sense to a point, watermelon could be a pretty appealing taste, but it just wasn’t doing it for me. Sorry. Take it easy on the fruit mista!

CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a murky pinkish orange with a thin wispy white head. Sweet candied watermelon aroma has a touch of malted wheat. Body starts with nice thickness and strong watermelon fruitiness balanced with a touch of banana and German yeast before a smooth, lightly sweet finish. A real unique and well-done brew.

opaque pink, scant white head, streaks of lace, light sweet watermelon aroma, light watermelon flavor, sweetness is well restrained, the wheat keeps it light and adds a hint of tartness,

sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 27, 2007
On tap @ the brewpub (downtown): Poured a hazy pink with no head. Aroma, watermelon, more specifically, watermelon jolly ranchers. Flavor, tastes like a wine cooler, candy, watery. Not very good, but not horrible.

Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2007
On tap at GD - Madison. Poured hazy pink with a short, creamy head. Aroma was of freshly-sliced watermelons with some tangy wheat lurking way in the background. The flavor had fresh, sweet watermelon upfront with tangy wheat and mild spices coming through about halfway.. spritzy watermelon again at the finish. Lighter-bodied with a decent flow to it.. not bad.

TheEnemy (564) - Chicago, USA - AUG 15, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Odd aroma like bread soaked in cough syrup; thin pinkish head sits atop lovely, dainty, clear rosy liquid; Flavor overly sweet like a Jolly Rancher; wheat and watermelon flavors do not mesh well, though the wheat base -- when it can be discerned -- is this beer’s primary redeeming feature. Bartender claims the head brewers don’t even like it but they keep making it because of its improbable popularity; the pub is, after all, in a student area, and one speculates the co-eds need something they can tolerate while their meathead boyfriends drink the more substantial stuff. A rare miss from an otherwise high-quality brewpub.

StewardofGondor (1933) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 5, 2005
Hazy light pink, like grapefruit juice, with a thin, creamy head that leaves some nice lacing as it goes. Smells like strawberry shortcake, watermelon, yeast and clover. Flavor is thin watermelons, like a diet Snapple. Mild sweetness, easy going.
