"Had this on tap a couple times last night at the Great Dane Hilldale. I believe they were calling it Wooden River, but it’s the same recipe. Pours a clear but darker reddish brown. Aroma is nutty, some mild hop notes, but otherwise semi sweet and floral. TAste is clean, light and creamy with just a touch of hops near the finish. On tap at the brew pub...A light copper beer with some really really nice carbonation...Really light aroma of bread but that’s about it, way to plan...The taste is equally dead, only a little alcohol and hops come through.

Enjoyed on tap at The Great Dane downtown Madison, WI, pours a cloudy amber with a thick creamy white head, the aroma is of sweet malt and flavor is creamy with a decent malt balance, nothing special but not terrible.

On the hand-pull at the lounge/pool room bar in downtown Madison. Poured to a GD pint glass a cloudy, brownish orange/amber, with off white, bubbly foam and clingy lacing. The aroma was of pleasant caramelly malt, and a hint of fruit sweetness. The flavor added a touch of citrus and moderate hop bitterness. 16 oz draft on tap at the brewpub (Madison, WI). Poured on cask, a thick dark amber body, opaque pour with creamy cakey offwhite head that laces exceptionally well. Aromas are a bit sweet, caramel and cream off the bat, with light florals. Mellow sweetness wins the day, slight biscuit, light. Initial is cask, caramel and toffee sweetness come on with a bit of pang of citrus and florals, touch of orange rind. Bitterness and citrus lingers over the sweetness, which dies out considerably. Cask at the Wausau brewery. Amber color. Sweet, malty and very smooth, although I did detect a bit of butteriness in there.
