A pretty wicked beer, and only slightly better than the Claymore. Great Divide did a good job on this beer ttroha (516) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma of malts and scotch. Full bodied beer with flavors of scotch, malt raisin. A slightly bitter and almost tangy aftertaste. Not a favorite dark beer of mine, but it’s decent and filling. This beer will definitely fill you up. Iphonephan (6988) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - AUG 2, 2013
From a 3 oz taster at the brewery in Denver. Pours a clear cola brown with an ecru head. Malty, toasted nut aroma. Some hint of toffee. Smooth clean finish. arminjewell (9669) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Described as oak-aged claymore, pour was dark red with off white head on tap at the brewery for Firkin Friday. Aroma brought notes of smoke, oak, caramel, some burnt toast and earth notes in there as well. Taste was a nice mix of smoke and molasses, hints of oak and slight vanilla, some earth and burnt notes, finishes fairly sweet. Not bad, wish the oak came in a bit more but fairly good. dnstone (3418) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Amber in color with an off-white head. Malty nose. Pretty straight forward malty beer.

Pre GABF party 2009. Pours dark brown black with a tan head. Aroma of cherry, funk, and dark malts. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. On tap at Jonesys (Denver, CO). Pours a dark almost cola brown with mahogany highlights and a tan head. Aroma is sweet and earthy with notes of bourbon, vanilla, oak, peat, some toffee and caramel. Flavor is also sweet and earthy with notes of chocolate, caramel, bourbon, wood, vanilla, light raisin notes. Medium body with a lightly boozey finish. elihapa (1553) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - SEP 28, 2009
9/25/09 notes: on tap, brewery. A special release, I believe. Poured into a snifter, dark red-black with almost no head. Aroma is a rich array of peat, malt, and vinegary notes. Flavor is full, with cherry and grape skin complementing and playing against the smooth dark chocolate, wood and caramel. Overall, a darker, bolder version of Claymore.
