Draft sample at FOBAB 2013. Pours a cloudy brown color wtih a small off-white head. Lots of vanilla and dried fruit and marshmallow notes in this one, sweet and creamy on the aroma in particular, before some darker, richer fruits and malts kick in. Caramel, raisins, oak, toast, figs. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, coating mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brownish beer with almost no head. Aroma is oak, booze and big caramel. Very heavy on the aroma. Flavour is incredibly sweet, alcoholic, malty and some residual sugars in there. Some vineous, oaky characters in there definitely. Flavour is long lasting and very heavy on the palate. Tap at Great Divide, Denver. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off-white head and some broken lace. The aroma is rich raisin fruit and alcohol. The flavour is medium bitter with a super rich fruity slightly acidic alcoholic palate. A super beer. Good luck in tracking it down.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of booze, sweet woody barrel elements, vanilla, vinous aspects, dark fruit, yeast, raisins, toffee, caramel. Damn there’s a lot going on here.. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Sticky sweet in the finish but not cloying. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Complex and wonderful.
