3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy bright golden pour. Honeycomb yeast aroma. Flavor adds strawberry, lingonberry, and something more to flesh out a touch astringent yet sweet. Palate a bit watery, finishing clean with chamomile and clover honey nose. Sad to see that this is retired--I bought the last sixer at Zipps and I would have bought it again.
Very good, its smooth with a citrus like flavors, palate a bit thin but it works for what it is. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2008
Draft sample at Tap Room, 8/12/08, Denver, CO. Pours hazy yellow, small white head. Nose is sweet, honey. Taste is honey, raisin, bread, alcohol. Not bad. Headbanger (4022) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JAN 10, 2008
12oz bottle(10/00)-A cloudy gold with a small head and an aroma of honey, a little citrus, and malt. Taste of a light body with honey, citrus, and malts. Not a big honey fan and this didn’t do much for me. RSRIZZO (2034) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 26, 2007
Had this beer on 11/15/1999. Color is a lightly burnt orange, with low carbonation and head. Aroma is a bit skunky. It starts with a light body that goes down with a skunky feel coming on. Finish is covered by the skunky flavor. Its just bad. boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - DEC 24, 2006
2003, consumed in late 03. 12ozbtl. Light, very dry, almost astringent honey aroma. Very soft mouthfeel, too thin in a stark contrast to a somewhat promising appearance. Glad this was discontinued, not up to the caliber of today’s Great Divide beers.

There’s a huge, dense creamy head on this golden ale. The aroma is very light, sweet malt, some tangerine and orange. The taste is clean and fresh, but very mild on the flavor. Soft malts, a honeyed sweetness, and a faint touch of citric tartness. Not very interesting.ebarnes (261) - Beech Grove, Indiana, USA - JAN 21, 2006

Retired? Purchased a 12 oz bottle on 1/17/06 at Party Town in Florence, KY. Pours cloudy gold with a HUGE foamy head that dissapates quickly. A little citrus in the taste, but nothing else. Blah. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 14, 2005
That smells good. Honey, baked bread, malt and some citrus. pale gold with a decently sized white head. Watery and mildly sweet with little else happening except an admirable moutfeel. lamas (1661) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 13, 2005
Bottle. Clear orange pour with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is of honey, a little lemon and just a bit of hops. Smooth and malty. Pretty sweet with only a hint of honey in the taste. Smoother and sweeter than I thought it would be. Light to medium-bodied. Nothing special or memorable. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 25, 2005
Retired? This is still on the shelves in Omaha! Pours the color of a budweiser with a rapidly fleeting white head. No memorable aroma. I would have expected honey aromatics, but could not detect any. The taste reveals why: there is not much honey content in this. A pretty weak and boring beer. Happy retirement.
