Easy drinking, but not quite what it claims to be. Doesn’t quite have the hopping of an American IPA, doesn’t quite have the yeasty bready complexity of a Belgian. Sweet fruity nose, cloudy amber with a good head, modest hopping over modest notes of Belgian yeast. Neither here nor there, but easy to drink.
Bottle shared by Benzai... Yellow to golden colour, decent sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, some hops, quite yeasty. Average to decent body and carbonation. JPDIPSO (6255) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Light golden color with a moderate sized white head. Pale malt and floral and wild flower blooms in the aroma. Hints of bananas and dry spice as well. Quite heavy in feel, with a tight zip to keep it from getting too cloying. Light sweetness with some tropical fruit and wild flower honey. Lightly citric and biting in the finish and linger. Actually drank the whole bottle, which is more than I can say about many of my last few. 1/11

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Golden body with rocky head. Hoppy and buttery nose. Very easy to drink, with hoppy flavour. Prickly and piney in the finish. Quite enjoyable. zimbo (970) - SCOTLAND - MAY 1, 2015
From old notes.
Distinctive appearance of clear faded yellow but vibrant with some loose beading and a thick creamy head.
Firm and robust with a degree of lean chewy but not at all citric (despite when the label says) but long and lingering. Restrained and persistent with just a trace of sweetness at the end to add to that hybrid style. Leaves layers of lacing rings as drunk.
As shame this was discontinued. It got none of the respect it deserved.

Bright orange with a lasting white head. Grassy and flowery aroma with hop notes. Flavor is sweet malt with citric notes. Body is medium and body is thick. Low carbonation.

easily the weakest GD offering i’ve had to date. i was thinking/hoping for a titan type ipa with a belgian yeast strain, but it appears the hops are different (and lighter), the belgian yeast isn’t very assertive, and the belgian pilsner malt may be a slight miss. as a beer, it’s still above average, balanced, and refreshing, but given my expectations of GD (and my expectations of this cool style) this ones a miss. Won’t visit again unless i see it on tap, or go to CO." swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2014
bottle, remeber this on tap at Coles also. enjoyable Belian IPA, golden pour, medium bodied. fruity belgian yeast, citrusy hops, herbal/medicinal notes. goodbeer Beerhunter111 (21756) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig. ads135 (4844) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 13, 2013
A blend of my two favorite beers styles. The belgian yeast adds some nice spicyness and the hop profile is pretty intense. DuffMan (10549) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 29, 2013
My bottle has a bottled-on-date of December 2011. Soooooo, here we go. Medium golden body, average hits head. Cooked pineapple and noodles come to mind, a bit of sweet spice. Not undrinkable, but clearly past it’s prime.
