We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Flaska restaurant krokius. Lite förkyld i denna test. Så kan behöva uppgraderas längre fram.

Bomber bottled 3/18/2016 - pours super dark like tar with a thin brown head. Wonderful aroma of coffee, chocolate, loam, cocoa and roasted wood. Big flavors make a beautiful beer here - bitter dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted barley, boozy warmth and a burnt bitter finish.

From tap at På kornet with KH (Bryne) and BHK 12.04.17. Almost ebony. Foamy and dense brown head and lacing. Aroma of bitter pine and grapefruit zest. Bitter and good taste, with oak, dark chocolate, dark coffee, vanilla, bitter pine and bitter citrus zest.

laakus (153) - Nossebro, - APR 10, 2017
Pours black with brown foam. Aroma is lots of chocolate and vanilla, some nuts and butter, roasted tones, Very smooth mouthfeeling, full and nice, great balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, roast, some dried fruits. The finish is lots and lots of heavy dark cacao and very bitter in the end. Enjoyable but a true long zipper!

UPDATED: APR 7, 2017 Ok! I had really big expectations on this one. Appearance as expected, check! Aroma is big with oak and smoke, check! Taste,... well, a bit too hard on the roasted malt. Intense coffee and the cayenne is there in the end. Good, but a bit overrated beer.

craftbeersweden (667) - SWEDEN - APR 2, 2017
Aged in my beercellar for almost three years. Bought September 5, 2014.

The beer pours like thick motoroil, totally black with a one finger high, creamy, mocha colored head.

Nose: Dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, molasses, oak and a hint of vanilla.
Taste: Oh, so smooth! The years in the beercellar has made this beer smoother and softer. Chocolate, oak, coffee, cocoa beans, vanilla and brownie.
Mouth: Low, soft carbonation. Smooth, complex texture. Round and fantastic delicious!

This is a beer in a 22 oz bottle that has been matured to perfection!
So smooth, complex, sweet, dry, bitter... everything! Just love it!

I’m glad I still have a few bottles of 2014 edition saved :-)
