COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Had this out of the bottle right after Rogue Double Chocolate Stout; both excellent. This is more bitter and more espresso; its imperial stout nature comes through.

Poured from the tap. Jet black with tan head. Very robust flavours of oak, chocolate, vanilla, and light roast. Hint of the cayenne rounds it out, mild alcohol. So much flavour, but doesnt quite blend perfectly.

On tap at The Draught House Austin, TX. Pours pitch black with little to no head. Nose is chocolate and coffee, and a little pepper as it warms. The taste follows with the pepper becoming more pronounced as it warms. Very nice on a cool Austin night.

22oz Bottle. Oily black pour, little to no head. Smell loads of sweet chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, cinnamon, oak, bit of musk. Taste that yummy cacao, feels very smooth, no booze or carb bite, almost as if it were nitro. Very good stuff.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of cocoa, malt, slight vanilla. Appearance is stout black with dark tan lacing head. Tasting dry cocoa, molasses, vanilla, roasted malt, oak notes. Takes a couple of seconds for the pepper to kick in.. Palate is silky smooth and moderately spicy. . Overall, Im not a fan of spicy beers, but I do appreciate how well made this one is.

A bottle on Black Christmas 2016 at 12 Kings. Pours an almost black with a dark brown head. Aroma is fruity, roasted seeds, some chocolate. Taste is pretty the same with a quite high level of bitterness. Good one.

Easy to rate, immense amount of flavor. Not really as much a whiskey flavor as strong oak at the end.

DATE: November 25, 2016... OCCASION: home from Black Friday with the parents and Jer... GLASSWARE: Duvel tulip... bought to celebrate the Yeti Recognition Week... black, intimidating body with a three-finger stack of creamy, thick brown head... creates high arches that sit atop columns... thick cocoa wafts through the nostrils, with vanilla and thick dough malts, and espresso bean--the coffee mystique is palpable... as promising as the aroma portends, the bliss is in the sipping--thick, warming and full-bodied dessertif... long, lingering aftertaste that maintains its chocolate essence... cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, sweet and toasted malts, and more chocolate--the cayenne puts the heat in this powerful, empowering bottle.... at 1 pint 6 oz., enough of a return akin to a bourbon... a massive stand-alone that is worth its price point...
