COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

This beer poured nice and thick! You could smell the chocolate from the glass. A - There was very little head and it wasnt over carbonated. Poured very thick. A - Dark, Dark and well....dark T - Again, the chocolate for me really came out. It didnt seem boozy even though its coming in at 9.5%! P - Not to crazy and complex. I loved it. When a beer has to much going Im not a fan. O - Id purchase this again. Im not sure how it would age. I think Ill purchase one to see..

(Bottle) Black body with creamy, medium-dark brown head; spotty lace. Aroma of chocolate and light roasted coffee; light vanilla, some wood, malty, slightly burnt. Body is medium to full; velvety smooth, creamy texture. Flavor is moderately sweet, but not too heavy; strong bitterness; chocolate. Alcohol not too noticeable until the finish, where it leaves a strong warming sensation.

Well balanced and fairly complex. As this warmed up I could pick out more of the chocolate character. Very good and something I will buy often, I think. This is what I hope every chocolate stout will be.

Poured from the tap. Jet black with tan head. Very robust flavours of oak, chocolate, vanilla, and light roast. Hint of the cayenne rounds it out, mild alcohol. So much flavour, but doesnt quite blend perfectly.

On tap at The Draught House Austin, TX. Pours pitch black with little to no head. Nose is chocolate and coffee, and a little pepper as it warms. The taste follows with the pepper becoming more pronounced as it warms. Very nice on a cool Austin night.

22oz Bottle. Oily black pour, little to no head. Smell loads of sweet chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, cinnamon, oak, bit of musk. Taste that yummy cacao, feels very smooth, no booze or carb bite, almost as if it were nitro. Very good stuff.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of cocoa, malt, slight vanilla. Appearance is stout black with dark tan lacing head. Tasting dry cocoa, molasses, vanilla, roasted malt, oak notes. Takes a couple of seconds for the pepper to kick in.. Palate is silky smooth and moderately spicy. . Overall, Im not a fan of spicy beers, but I do appreciate how well made this one is.
