4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Not going to be very critical, but this is an outstanding brew from Great Divide. It pours black, with a darker head. The smell is of chocolate and some toasted malts. The taste is very smooth, which masks the alcohol very well. Taste of chocolate, some coffee, and the oak aging sneaks in but is well paired. Mouthfeel is smooth, almost light, but it lingers a little after, but it makes you want more.

Tap at Roor in Oslo, 11th October 17. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma is coffee, cocoa. Taste is dry and bitter, dusty cocoa, bitter dark chocolate. I had feared this would be sweet, but it's spot on, smooth, bitter. Great stuff. tmrmwel (2204) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 3, 2017

Bottle from Vnmonopolet Kvadrat, enjoyed at my last evening at Gunnarsbu. Pours dark as the Cretan nighr, with a thick and creamy tan head, a looker this one. Lovely chocolate aroma, cocoa and vanilla, and even some liquorice, maybe. Lovely complex chocolate, dark bitter, with cocoa and burnt malts, liquorice and something like a weak burning sensation at the long finish, the cayenne was a good surprise there, lovely beer, creamy mouthfeel, Delicious.
