4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
My GF ordered this on tap and asked me to try it and I pretty much drank all of her beer (I bought her another one though, I;m not a monster.)
Pours dark chocolate color with a tan head that hangs around.
Smells wonderful. Chocolate, coffee with a hint of sweetness.
Tastes- This is where the beer stands out. A lot of chocolate stouts are overly bitter and taste more like coffee than chocolate. This beer brings just the right amount of sweetness. Chocolate and coffee are right up front but there is a hint of vanilla that adds just the right amount of sweetness. Supposedly there is some cayenne powder in there but I didn’t get it which is fine by me.
Mouthfeel- Smooth and thick.
Overall- Best chocolate stout I’ve had and one of the best stouts I’ve had in general. Try it if you see it and you will be pleased.
Black with medium beige head. Aroma is chocolate, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate and some lacing. bursprak (3205) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2017

Nice, heavily roasted with just a touch of booze or maybe it’s just a cayenne. Dark, black chocolate, roasted, packed with malts, slightly herbal and earthy. In overall nice and smooth. AnG_BrgNor (719) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2017

Bottle thanks to bursprak. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma is pretty earthy with notes of chocolate, slight smoke, old sweet Malts and butterscotch. Pretty obvious that this is past its prime. Taste of roasted malts, dark chocolate, slight spice, some oak, earth and milky chocolate. Very old school and a bit past its prime, but this is still pretty solid. Vighals (3983) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2017
Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kakaopulver, sjokolade, tørket frukt, svisker og noe trevirke. Middels fylde. Salt lakris, middels bitter, minner meg noe om black IPA. Kaffe, mørk sjokolade og sitrusskall. caesar (7153) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 4, 2017
