COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

PanMarek (423) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2016
Tangy, grassy, yeasty nose with a touch of phenol mustiness. Cloudy, pale golden pour with quick white foam. Good initial taste with sharp esters, pepper, and a smooth malt backbone. Medium body with active fizz and strong, dry finish. The yeast notes are balanced here. There is some touch of the metallic phenol, but prominent grassy esters too. The barley and rice perhaps help with the balance as do the four varieties of yeast.

Can picked up from Beer Gonzo, Shop, Earlsdon, Coventry consumed at home Wednesday 31st August 2016 Pours hazy light shimmering lemony colour with a white head. Loz gets quite a bit of banana and yep so do I. Soft in the mouth, a little caramelised yellow pepper, it’s got a nice chewy bite, a little warming, yeasty and spice, yes quite a bit of yeastiness here. I like it. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Taste is slightly dry mineraly, yeast, flowers, hay, minerals, weeds, grass, bark, light malts, paper, sawdust, hints of alcohol. Medium bitterness, slightly dry floral mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Lilja (3140) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2016
Mixpack, Brewer’s pick, Privatimport Great Brands. Smak och doft av humle, vete, jäst, citron, citrus, grön banan med toner av torkade aprikoser och kryddor. Fruktig, frisk, brödig, lagom sötma och tack och lov utan koriander, fin beska. Gott!

Can. Pours a sparkling golden color with generous off-white head and lively carbonation. Spicy yeasty aroma with some fruitiness. Somewhat sweet flavor with a touch of tartness. Fruity with some spices. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Pretty good.

From a 12-pack. This is a nice saison. I don;t get much tart, but plenty of fruity (tropical) and spicy (coriander?) esters. The yeasts are doing their job. Finishes dry.

Vignale (3781) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2016
Mixpack, Brewer’s pick, Privatimport Great Brands. Riktigt gott.
