COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Pint glass. Pours a very yellow, hazy with a thick white head. Aroma is fruit, wheat, cereal, and yeasts. The taste is at first fruity with citrus (lemons and grapefruit) and then you get the wheat and barley. Heavy yeasts tickle the tongue and the carbonation is high. Slightly bitter, tart finish. Lingering yeasts stay in your mouth. I liked it but not my favorite. Also BV is a little high for a saison or sessionable farmhouse.

Tart and funky aroma. Hazy orange color with a fluffy white head. Tastes of Belgian yeast, slightly sweet, funky and not tart enough. Refreshing with a palate that is great for the style - dense and slick with slight carbonation.

tlind2 (1799) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 3, 2017
Bottle. Cloudy straw color, white head. Fruity aroma (apricot?) with sugary malts. Taste follows after with some spicy notes and a hint of lemon. Medium-full body, high carbonation. Not bad, fairly good pairing with brie.

Sweet grain and cereal malts, light barnyard. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Medium sweet. More sweet grain and bread malts, caramel, molasses, barnyard, sweet citrus fruits, orange, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright Saison, a touch sweet. Keg at brewery barrel warehouse, Denver.

Kauge (2127) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 8, 2017
Bottle, gift from Helsinki. BB in two months. Pours near clear gold with small off-white head. Yeast, some yellow stone fruits, not too refreshing, kinda savoury, slight coriander-like spiciness, finishes dry and yeasty. Would probably be somewhat better very fresh. Not a fan. I think my first Saison with rice...

Flavorful, slightly aromatic, and light colored. Not as strong as other farmhouse ales, but solid taste and good finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
