I compare all farmhouse ales to Oxbow’s farmhouse pale, criticize my benchmark all you want but it’s a near perfect beer. The "Colette" is nearly as good, i’m very happy with the aroma and taste, it represents the style quite well. I wish it was more readily available. commonmac (1311) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2015
Tap at the source with willyP and wanderkate. Snifter glass. Cloudy appearance with a pineapple like color. Slight froth. Aroma is a slightly muted spiciness with citrus undertones. Tastes like a near perfect representation of the style. Good citrus lemon notes with the saison spice qualities featured. Well balanced. Highly recommended from a really good brewery. Tangy, grassy, yeasty nose with a touch of phenol mustiness. Cloudy, pale golden pour with quick white foam. Good initial taste with sharp esters, pepper, and a smooth malt backbone. Medium body with active fizz and strong, dry finish. The yeast notes are balanced here. There is some touch of the metallic phenol, but prominent grassy esters too. The barley and rice perhaps help with the balance as do the four varieties of yeast. swesson (469) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Crisp, fruity ale. The fruit doesn't overpower. A welcome taste. A gold standard for saison beers.

Aroma is yeast, white pepper, apple, white peach, white tea.
Flavor is apple, white tea, white pepper, yeasty protein, save blanc, cereal. Yeah, I said white a lot.
Medium to light body, good carbonation.
Very clear appearance, like pale apple juice.
The best 6 pack saison I have ever had.

Refreshing malts and varying yeasts. Fresh citrus flavors and very mild betterness. generallee08 (773) - New York, USA - JUL 24, 2014
From the pour it produces a big billowy head of white foam over a hazy golden honey colored body. The haze comes from a fine yeast sediment in the body of the beer. Some of the yeast seems to be pushed up towards the head by the aggressive carbonation. This beer looks to be full of life. The aroma is of floral and spicy almost grassy hops with a pale base of biscuity malt. There is a nice balance of spicy yeast with hints of fruit and biscuity maltiness. This has light sweetness that dries out for a snappy dry finish. The carbonation is lively and the palate is crisp.

12 Fl OZ ($12 6pack) an absolute great beer for the hot weather. Has a high ABV and is super drinkable. Flavor is very good, has the right farmhouse hops and yeast to produce the perfect taste. First beer I’ve had from the maker and it is excellent. Vestlake (279) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - APR 24, 2015
Bottle pours a hazy, light orange. Aroma is funky, yeasty, and slightly fruity. Taste is great, fruity, spicy, yeasty. Loved it. Will be buying again. arne91 (31) - - JUL 25, 2015
