COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treatsa beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

A frothy white head dances on top of this pale yellow brew. Slight haze, typical of the style. Hints of lemon, Belgian yeast, spicy hops and fresh grains in the nose. The flavor is awash in balanced complexity, with not nearly as much Belgian funkiness as one would expect; rather, this saison showcases hefty doses of bready grains and spicy hop kisses. The yeast providing just enough phenolics and fruitiness to highlight a lemon character on the finish with just a hint of sweetness. Everything in terrific balance here. Dry, slightly astringent finish, but that is welcome in my ideal saisons. So its not as funky as some of the best Belgian versions, but its better than a lot of those. This could probably be considered more of a Strong Belgian Pale Ale, but then wed just be splitting hairs...underrated.

A murky, light yellow beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness, lemon and lemon peel, spicyness and some bananas. Balanced and traditional. Taste has mix fruitness, some nice spicyness, fresh. Medium bodied, high carbonation. This beer is great as usually from Gread Divide. Refreshning and high-quality.

12floz can, $8/six-pack. Canned on 01.17.2017. Consumed 02.28.2017. Ive had in bottles a few times prior. Tulip glassware. Cloudy gold color with one-finger head on the pour. Funky sweat nose somehow seems turn more into a banana and cantaloupe hybrid. Medium-full in body and tingles on the tongue as lemon zest and sourdough flavors complete the palate. An adequate Belgian farmhouse style beer for a reasonable. price.

Cloudy yellow beer with smallish head on top. Beautiful when light shines through. Aroma has wheat, banana, sweet fruits. Taste is sweet with banana, this is more like hefeweizen than farmhouse ale. Medium to light

Almost like a beer salad; a beer fruit salad. Pretty tasty. (I cant detect, however, the rice.) But, again and overall, tasty powerful.

12 oz. bottle packaged on October 20, 2016. Heres another beer Im surprised I havent rated by this point. The pour is slightly hazy with a deep gold, just a little darker than your average saison. A small white head sticks around for a while. Aroma has notes of orange, pepper, clove, and banana. The palate is pretty full and though dry, not as dry as the style can be. Flavors of pineapple, wheat, pepper, and a subtle noble hop balance are found. This grows on me with each sip as usual. The use of rice is pretty smart. I doubt Id pick it out on my own but it seems to add just a little sweet, grainy character. The finish is citrusy and the pineapple suggestions mount. Definitely a competent saison. Its not as aggressively dry or phenolic as some of its contemporaries.

Perfect golden color, with thick lace lets bready aroma come through. Medium body resembles a hefeweizzen mixed with a saison.
