Bottle. Appearance is a bright pale yellow and gold color with an inch of off-white foam. Aroma is sharp and yeasty with notes of citrus peel, pear and clove. The taste starts out tart and acidic with a blend of lemon, white grape, green apple and honey malt sweetness. Also a bit of pepper and spice from the yeast. As expected, theres lots of lively carbonation in the body along with a dry, tart finish. Gets the job done as a thirst quencher.

12 oz. bottle packaged on October 20, 2016. Heres another beer Im surprised I havent rated by this point. The pour is slightly hazy with a deep gold, just a little darker than your average saison. A small white head sticks around for a while. Aroma has notes of orange, pepper, clove, and banana. The palate is pretty full and though dry, not as dry as the style can be. Flavors of pineapple, wheat, pepper, and a subtle noble hop balance are found. This grows on me with each sip as usual. The use of rice is pretty smart. I doubt Id pick it out on my own but it seems to add just a little sweet, grainy character. The finish is citrusy and the pineapple suggestions mount. Definitely a competent saison. Its not as aggressively dry or phenolic as some of its contemporaries.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a small white head that has good retention. The aroma is medium in strength with Belgian yeast, candied pears and some breead dough. The taste features candied white fruits and a hint of peppery spice. The palate is full. Finishes long a sweet with lingering rock candy. Overall: Not bad but just a tad too sweet for my liking.

Derek881 (1255) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 16, 2016
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a clear gold-straw color with a large, foamy white head with good retention, and average cling and lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of floral and citrus hops scents along with straw, some spice, and a blend of yeast. The taste was fairly fruity and sweet with a slight tart yeast-straw affect for a bit of bitterness. It was a pretty well carbonated beer with a lighter body and a dry finish.
