3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
13.60 bottle from beers of the world rochester ny. Bottled Jan 11, 2012. Pours a dark molasses with a pillowed head or lightly creamy. Big aromas of chocolate brownie, mellowed coffee, burnt caramel, smokey wood, and vanilla. The flavors are slightly downgraded with coffee and chocolate upfront. There is a slight zesty hop profile that just comes through slightly towards the end. A touch of oak and vanilla in there as well. It leaves this espresso like aftertaste not so much on the palate as it is in the nose, interesting! Medium sweet with a medium bitterness. Coffee is more rounded with the other malts and hops in this one. Was expecting a little more in the flavors but still a very great addition to the series.
Backlog, niezły Ris. Fajny aromat kawowy, czuć słodycz. W smaku mocno wytrawne, słodycz znikoma. Niezłe piwo tstene (5) - SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2017 does not count
On a bottle from systembolaget, shared with my son. Black, thick, well balanced. The nose is moderate. Long, sweetish aftertaste with roasted malts.

22oz bottle poured at home with a bottling date of March 16, 2017.
Deep roasty aroma and coffee flavor.
Very nice carbonation and mouth feel for a 9.5% beer.
Perfect for a 59 degree late September night RichTheVillan (8109) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2017
Bottle during HF tick fest; opaque dark brown pour with a bubbly dark tan head, aroma has strong coffee and chocolate, taste has light vanilla, sweet milk chocolate, decent coffee. Piotrek4 (272) - Lublin, POLAND - SEP 11, 2017

Really good Stout. Starts with a strong espresso flavor and ends fairly smooth. Overall a good Stout, but the finish had a little bitterness. Not much, but too much to be in the same class as other top tier stouts.
