COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark pitch black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown frothy head that slowly receded, eventually puddling with very good sheets of streaky lacing. The aroma was robustly bold of a dark roasted malt, light resin hops and a strong leathery yeast with notes of molasses, baker’s chocolate, dark roasted coffee, a bit of oak, a touch of vanilla and a very mild alcohol tinge. The taste was lightly sweet and a tad bitter with a good malty feel and notes of bitter chocolate and molasses early on, progressing into a slightly bitterer taste with a strong espresso flavor with a mild woody alcohol finish. The flavor lingered for a good long while after the swallow, with a nice espresso mocha taste left behind to settle on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was on the high side of full in body with a dry, oily texture and a solid medium carbonation. Overall can I say "WOW", this is one tasty fulfilling brew. It possesses tons of flavor, a bold roastiness and an awesome drinkability and on top of that does a great job concealing the high ABV. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves dark beer, give this one a try it is truly exceptional...

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2017 Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is woody, vegetal, coffee beans, cocoa, mild vanilla. Taste is bitter and woody, black espresso. Not picking up any sweetness here, which is a surprise. Extremely bitter and ashy, heavy on the espresso with very little vanilla or malt on the palate. Also, very hoppy. Easily my least favorite Yeti so far.
Update: Originally served at cellar temp but had another glass colder (from the fridge) and I preferred this a bit colder (think cold brew / iced coffee).

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Opaque black pour with thick brown foam. As expected, feels like a regular Yeti but with the coffee turned up a notch. Also maybe feeling more liquorice than in the original. Wonderful stuff!

Black pour, big brown head. Phenomenal aroma and flavor. Straight up espresso, with dark chocolate notes in the flavor. Chewy. Absolutely ridiculous.

12floz bottle ($2.50, BOD: 12.22.2015) poured into an oversized snifter. This impy stout may have had its coffee addition fade with some time, Despite the lack of a pronounced coffee presence, it’s still a lovely near black color with one-finger of brown head. The nose exhibits the booze content covered in vanilla and mild coffee. The palate is robust, roasty, and has notes of carob. Good.

On tap at the barrel bar, near black with a lasting thick tan crema, amazingly thick and rich, with bitter coffee and bitter hops. Background notes of herbal hopsack, and an astringently burnt finish. It’s great, yet actually quite a challenge to drink.

Rami Rami: [...] cialo, klasa piwo, z minusikiem malym to 4 i pol. szkoda ciut moze, ze tej beczki tak niebaudzo, wanilii itp slodkich klimatow brak, smakuje jakby bylo z beczki po rumie troszke czy cus? zaskakujaco. ale czekolada wygryw, zwlaszcza w zestawieniu z piwami z aromatem czekolady z biedry ;)
