COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Hazy amber color with a nice beige frothy head. Strong hop aromas with grass and wood notes. Flavor is sweet with caramel traces and refreshing pine notes; good bitterness. Low carbonation and thick body.

Old rating. Excellent sessionable big hop pale. Lots of citrus and grassy hops over moderate bodied malts. Crisp, bitterness. Love the fresh hops really bringing juicy tastes.

UXO (1896) - CANADA - JAN 28, 2015
Pours clear pale amber with two fat fingers of rocky white head, good retention, moderate lacing. (4/5) Nose is earthy, grassy, mild pine, pale malt, mild citrus, black tea. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, mild black peppery spice. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry finish. (4/5) Obviously I’m slow on the uptake, but there’s no way I can be effectively reviewing a wet-hopped beer right now. Shouldn’t have bought it in mid-January, when it was fresh four months ago. It’s still just fine, mind you, but I don’t feel like I’m really appreciating the fresh hops. Good, with a green hoppy bitterness, but without being great. (15/20)

Got as an Xmas present. Poured nice light Amber with nice off white head. Aroma beautiful floral citrus hop essence. Flavor perfectly balanced. Amazing session brew. Downed whole bomber way too quick. Great beer.

beersammich (76) - Morgantown, West Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Pours copper in color with a nice creamy looking head. Smells mildly hoppy and mildly malty. Taste is a nice blend of hoppy and caramel malt. No real bitter finish that I can find personally, tastes pretty sweet in the end. A very easy drinking beer, not really special but very nicely made. I enjoyed it it pretty well. I had it from a bottle

Pours a deep copper color with white head. Aroma is a little bit grassy and hops and a little malt. Taste is a little bit hoppy but really just kind of the standard pale ale. I expected more. It's good but nothing spectacular. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Refrigerated brown bomber, best before December 31, 2014, poured into a snifter. Clear light amber with small white head. Aroma is fresh grass hops, medium body, low carbonation, and little small-bubble lacing. Taste is grapefruit hops, grassy hops, and caramel malt backbone. Solid american pale ale.

Pours an amber-copper, with medium head (nice lacing). Aromas of malt, grass, citrus. Flavor is very bitter, with nice backbone of sweetness. Some grassiness, a touch of citrus. Pretty good overall.

22 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a beautiful light gold with a one finger head that steadily dissapates. The taste was quite impressive. Very, very fresh hop taste with little bitterness. Impressed, would get again and recommend.
