Fresh, dank, catty hop aroma coming out of the bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow with an enthusiastic white head. I was expecting a really hoppy, bitter flavor, but it’s actually quite restrained. Seems to be more kettle hops than aromatic, however I’m drinking this almost 1 month past the best by date, so that might be having an effect. Good caramel sweetness helps balance it out, but it’s maybe a bit too sweet. Hops are earthy and slightly catty resolving to some piney notes. I thought this was an IPA, but I now see it’s labeled only a PA, so this is actually quite to style. Enjoyable and nicely hopped for a PA. It would be interesting to see what this is like kicked up to an IPA though. Dapierce17 (110) - Pasco, Washington, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Pours a golden amber with tan head. Aromas of grassy citrus notes with very slight malty sweetness. A very balanced hop malt flavor. Up front grassy notes with slight piney hop bitterness.

BBD of 12/30/13. Pours a light copper with a nice head that laces well. Mild nose of pine hops with a citrus background. Light medium body with normal carbonation. Nice balanced hop flavor with grapefruit at the front while the pine claims the back end. Finishes clean with a slight residual bitterness of mostly grapefruit and then followed by pine. A sound beer that is well suited for those that desire a not too hoppy brew. KennyGalanif (42) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Serving type: 22 oz bottle
A: pours a copper orange color with a decent amount of head. Great lacing too!
S: grassy and citrus notes, along with some pine. Smells really inviting as it should being a fresh hop ale.
T: it is a very clean tasting beer, that finishes smooth. There is no resiny aftertaste. It has a pleasant fresh grass and citrus flavor profile, with a slight malt backbone.
O: a very fresh tasting pale ale that I would buy again!

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bomber. Rich orange pour with a spotty foamy white head. Nice bold aroma of grassy and sweet floral hops. Smooth palate, clean with soft edges. Nice bold hop punch but well balanced. Great beer. zizzybalubba (1886) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - NOV 25, 2013
22 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA (best before December 30, 2013). Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, and grapefruit rind. Well-balanced flavor of piney and grassy hops with notes of toffee and caramel. Bitterness does not linger too long on the palate. This is a well-balanced, easily quaffable pale ale that stands near the top of the heap. RickTStiles (827) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Creamy green aroma. Taste is incredibly fresh, notes of green vegetables, mint and lemon. Finish is light. Excellent taste but lacking depth of body. Travlr (26071) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 21, 2013
