Bottle at Toms Glasgow tasting 2 ... amber ... light sweet pine hop ... ligth sweet hop ... little toffee malt ... bit non descript ... quite drying. Leighton (21513) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2010
Tap at Pony Bar. Pours a medium amber with a moderate white head. Big hop nose, lots of grass and florals. First flavor is honey and brown sugar, then more bitterness from the hops. Has a nice, bitter bite to it. Really nice. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 15, 2006
Golden color. The aroma is hoppy, very nice, fruity (apricots and grapefruit) and resiny. The hops are lovely, the body is quite thin. Of course the end is extremely long and bitter (resins, hazelnuts). Koelschtrinker (20594) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - AUG 9, 2011
Frisch hopfiger, sehr grasiger Antrunk. Gelungenes Bier! 7/10/9/10/11/11

Bottle, thanks to marsiblursi. Golden/amber color, nice creamy offwhite head. Very nice hoppy, fruity aroma, some citrus, some perfume, floral notes. Grassy flavor, perfume, fruity notes, floral and with some discreet spices. Hoppy finish with fresh fruity notes. harrisoni (18823) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2010 Bottle at The Rake. It has got hopo, but a little ash. Not huge hop though. Good. 837315 3.6/5. Sometimes, you get things so wrong. My previous review of this is rather remiss. Clear amber colour, thin off white head. Sherberty fresh hop aroma, highish acid level on the aroma too. Pale ale in mouth with some pale malts, ok fullness. Then on finish lots of sherbert and tasty hop, some ok bitterness, but the fresh hop is really quite remarkable. Normally you would think this would be out of balance, but it actually works pretty well. Love the hop sting without it being completely too bitter. Really good. mcberko (18084) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 22, 2010
22 oz. bottle, pours dark copper with a small white head. Grassy hops, pine and citrus on the nose, more reminiscent of an IPA. Flavour of smooth, resiny, piney hops, grass and citrus. Certainly one of the best pale ales I’ve tried yet. TBone (17699) - Pori, FINLAND - MAY 18, 2008

Copper-golden color, good creamy off-white head, some lace. Malty, juicy hops and some freshier clover-like hops too. Dry hoppy, bready and of course very bitter. Some grassyness, which comes with odd rubbery flavors.
Bottle, 22oz. Pours a copper-golden color, with an off-white head. Malty aromas with a nice addition of piney and citrusy hops. The flavor is mostly on the hoppy side, with pine and citrus as well as bitterness. I like it, but it is maybe a bit one-dimentional. Stinging hop-bitterness in the mouth, full body. Even though there’s lots of hops in it, it ain’t very bitter, except the stinging feeling. A little bit more emphasis on the malts would be nice though. (080118)
