COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

a little muted this year, still the sweet crystal and fresh citrus hops, but not quite the over the top punch from a few years ago,

Bottle @ Home. Pours golden with a huge white head, wich setles to a thin ring and lots of laces on the glas sides. Aroma of grass, pine, grapefruit. Taste is light grassy hops, some pine. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good tasty beer, but had higher expectations, would love to try a fresh bottle since the hops seems kindof faded. 180311

"i was hoping for great, and got very good. no complaints, my expectations for GD have become so high its hard to measure up. this has a nice zesty, spicy, grassy and citrus hop bitterness which is very nice in the flavor and nose. a little light bodied, but fitting for the style. not a ton of malt presence. slightly darker than usual for the style. nice beer. one of the better pales ive had."

Bottle. Poured a clear amber orange with a frothy tan head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was mainly citrus with a hint of pine, grass and hay. Flavor began with citrus, but grass hops grew and a bit of pine and grains in the finish.

Maria (10213) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2008
Copper golden with a huge, nice and creamy head, that leaves huge islands of foam, a thick lace and nice curtains on the glass. The aroma has nice and fruity hoppy notes with lots of citrus, papaya, mango, spruce and malt, that gives hints of caramel. The flavour is very nice and harmonic. The fruity hops are the main part with the same delicious notes as in the aroma combined with a nice caramel base. Its a truly delicious beer!
