Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins for US$5.99
It pours from 22oz bottle(bottled in May 2007) a clear light gold with a small head of foam that, after about the third sip, all but disappears from my glass but hey, there's some good lacing so it's a trade off.
The smell is good. I'm getting some spice, banana, yeast and a touch of hop.
The taste has some earthy malt followed by a good banana flavour and some yeastiness and there's a citric zinger about midway through. I started drinking this right out of the fridge so I'm waiting a bit to see what else comes out as it warms up....
Well, it's been a few minutes and I'm getting a touch of clove but nothing else has changed. At this point I'll add that it's quite the smooth drinker and I shouldn't have any problem finishing this bomber.
I just finished pouring the rest of this Ale in my glass and there's no sign of any yeast sediment. I was kind of hoping for that. ;^)
Overall, I think this is a pretty basic entry into the world of Belgian-Style Ales but I could not see myself not recommending it. It's flavourful and interesting enough to rule that possibility out. Give it a shot and see what you think of it.

On tap at Great Divide, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, Belgian yeast and light fruity esters. Flavour is on the sweeter and estery side, with candied sugar, Belgian yeast, and estery notes. Not authentic, but it’s still pretty nice. Pours a medium golden yellowish color. Aromas of fruit, yeast and some pepper. Flavors are sour, yeasty, and a touch of sweetness at the finish. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2016

11/24/2009 12:48:46 PM Bottle from Bierkoning. Nice golden body. Sweet, fruity and hoppy nose. Strong taste of honey. Some spicyness too. Taste of malts and toffee, with more honey in the end. Pretty good.

Bottle from Payless Liquor, where you definitely do not pay less for anything. Pours a golden body with almost no head. Nose of sour citrus, vanilla, and bread. Flavors include banana and cheese plus the others in the aroma. I may have to let this settle a bit because I’m getting an astringent alcohol bite all around the body. Light body and medium/full carbonation. As far as Belgians go, this is no where near the best I’ve tried, but it’s drinkable. laiti (8513) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 25, 2015

Aroma has apricot, moldy cellar tones and cardboard. Flavour has apricot, spicy tones, some moldy cellar and sweetish toffee. Quite well preserved, I like the spices here. PartyFowle (954) - - APR 8, 2015
Perfectly clear dandelion yellow. No bubbles. Large bubbles of head explode and leave what looks like a foamy white mountain range. The head recedes to a layer of film that leaves slight lacing. The aroma has bright floral hops, slightly metallic, with hints of apples and pear. The flavor tarts sweet with notes of citrus and grass dominating. There’s also some spicy yeast in there, and a high hoppy bitterness throughout, but more so at the finish. Medium-light mouthfeel, pleasant carbonation level -- it’s not too intense, just lets you know it’s there. Enjoyable? Sure. Memorable? Not so much. Slipstream (2703) - USA - JAN 9, 2015
Here is an oddly named Belgian golden ale. Lightly lemony with a good amount of wheat malt/hefeweizen flavor. Pale pour with lacing, and a mild sour-sweet aroma. Another good GD release. joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 21, 2014
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours a quick white head, little lacing, a little retention on the sides. Aroma of wheat, yeast and anise. Taste is slightly sour, lightly bitter. Medium body, soft small bubble carbonation, slick mouth feel. Finishes dry with notes of wheat, yeast, sour apple and spice. It’s ok.
