COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

A frothy, white foam head, amber. Strong smell of hops, strong malt aroma. A favorable bitterness, nutty taste. Very hop forward. Lively at first, smooth finish.

Delicious and bursting with bright hop character. Based on the label description, I expected more noticeable malt influence, but that was lacking. Even though that was lacking, I am not bothered at all since I dont expect that to come through in a DIPA. Definitely will get again.

bottle @ Keg Liquors / Clarksville IN --- bottled May 17 2016 --- Big aroma of malt and hops. Hazy dark amber color, beige head that stays at 1", lace cobwebs. Taste is caramel malt, medium carbonation, and solid citrus hops. The catch is that its all perfectly balanced and exceptionally smooth, especially considering the high abv. Highly recommended.

Bottle from Carmine Street Beer Shop. Must be a long standing one since it pours like a suspension of golden flakes in a copper liquid, spongy light beige head, floral hops aroma, med carbonation, bitter orange peel taste, thin body, long bitter finish. It gets much more bitter towards the end, dont know whether due to expiry date issues.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is strong hops, citrus and pine. Taste has bitter hops and malts. Bit of sweetness. Quite nice.

(Tap) clear, bright orange colour with a small white head; creamy palate; intense aroma of citrus, honey; strong, balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter finish

Draft poor at the collective. Amber cloudy color pour, sweet aroma kind of malty, extremely smooth drinking little caramel roast notes.

Pours hazy light brown with finger of tan head that hangs around. Aroma is a balance of floral hop and earthy malt belying whats to come. Flavor packs a punch of bitter citrus rind mid-sip, and finishes with some lingering bitter. While the alcohol is masked in flavor it makes its presence obvious in the brain!

Dark honey color with very soft yet attractive aroma filled with hops, hops, and more hops! So very, very smooth for such an unapologetic full flavored brew. Goes down smooth without any strong aftertaste. Absolutely wonderful on the palate. I think I found a beer Ill always look for on the menu. A RaiderHead finally found something about Denver he likes.
