COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JAN 25, 2015
Pours a light copper color with a light floral aroma. Taste is a clean hoppy flavor, mild IPA flavor, tastes intentionally light. Easy drinking with a small bitterness in the aftertaste.

3.2
Murrow (112) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - JAN 15, 2015
Bottle, poured at home. Pours amber with white head. Robust malt aroma, fruity. Hops not particularly forward on the nose. Sharp flavors up front, bitter, resiny hops and strong malt. Bitterness heightens and persists through finish, which lingers and is slightly dry. Modest mouthfeel. Despite the strong malt aroma, the hop bitterness really overpowers the malt in the taste. Not quite as balanced as I would like.

Hangover (1151) - oxford, Georgia, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Clear orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is citrus, primarily orange and grapefruit. Flavor mirrors the aroma, orange, light lemon zest, slightly sweet malt profile. Pretty standard fare for an IPA, but it’s a very solid offering.

Niko100 (3012) - Chicago, New York, USA - JAN 6, 2015
Nice amber/orange color; Light to medium body; Aroma of floral hops, citrus, & some pine; Flavor of malt/biscuit, pine hops, caramel, and citrus; Finish is slightly bitter; On the light side for sure - but decent.

kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body under a one finger fizzy white head that faded to a thin wispy film. The nose is a little too malty for my tastes in the style, lots of caramel and huskiness, and not much in the way of hops. The flavor is almost devoid of hops, I’m not sure where they came up with IPA for this beer. Just a minimal bitterness with a light leafy and green hoppiness. There’s plenty of husky and grainy malt in here, but that’s not my idea of an IPA. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Probably the worst beer I’ve ever had from Great Divide, quite the disappointment.

reberiii (497) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Solid and plain all at the same time. Has an appropriate malt backbone, has a very nice hop taste...but, just kinda plain. Would drink again, but it’s not a headliner, it’s the type you buy a case of and drink sessionably.
