On casak at Great Divide poured a hazt reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of chocolate, carmel, vanilla, oak, pepper and toffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of chocolate, carmel, light oak, pepper and a hint of vanilla with a smooth lingering chocolatey finish.

Cask. Flat, zero carbonation, no head, only a couple of apple-juice bubbles circling a murky burgundy brown body. Nose is pretty much the name of the beer - oak, chocolate and Hibernation, meaning dark fruit and caramel scented malts. Body is medium, carbonation is zero, texture is somewhat chalky. The oak chips are tannic and dry, the cocoa nibs seem unnecessary and clash with the dark fruit malts. Interesting and drinkable but kind of simple.
