Crack open Yeti Imperial Stouts sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yetis already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you cant tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Great beer. I have aged it 2 years and loving every second of it. Palate is not as heavy as I thought it would be. But all around great beer

I cannot believe that I havent rated this. Pours black with a thick, full, brown head that settles slowly. The aroma is big on heavy chocolate and vanilla, along with lesser amounts of roasted malts, coffee, and oak. The taste is pretty dry with some mild bitterness. Its similar to the nose altogether, but different elements are more distinguished. I find heavy roasted malts and oak, with the still potent complimentary flavors of chocolate and coffee. Minor alcohol and hints of vanilla round this out. Long and mild aftertaste of chocolate and coffee. Full in body, thick in texture, and soft carbonation. This is one of my personal favorites.

Simply delicious. Massive coffee and chocolate in the aroma with hints of vanilla. The taste is sweet with flavours of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, and a hint of the wood. The mouthfeel is thick and the flavour last for a long time. Fantastic beer.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a medium, dark tanned head. Mellow roast with loads of milk-chocolate on the nose. Wood, leather and vanilla as well. Light sweet flavour up front with loads of chocolate and roasted malts. Finishes fairly bitter, lasting. This is a superb stout that has all the makings of greatness. A lovely aroma, well balanced flavors and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Softly carbonated.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch black with dark tan head. Vanilla, chocolate, milk shake, coffee, char, a hint of alcohol. Wine yeast, char, wine gums, chocolate, some more of the vanilla and oak. Smooth, slightly oily palate with longfinish of oak and char. Quite nice but a minor let-down in the flavour department.

24.01.2017, tap @ Pingvinen:
Big brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, vanilla, oak, chocolate, dark malts, hay, minerals, grass, nuts, caramel, bourbon, burnt grain. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, oak, minerals, bark, bourbon, hops, burnt caramel, grass, hay, metal tank, ashes, paper, cocoa. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry mineraly mouthfeel. Nice enough, way too harsh / bitter...

A lot of roast character on nose. Some chocolate flavors at the front but soon dominated by smoky roasted malts and hops. Gotta hunt for any oak influence behind the hops, which is still minimal. Overall indistinct, one-dimensional, & unremarkable.

Dark opaque brown with a bit of brown head, oily surface appearance. Big chocolaty aroma. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, finish with some dark roast coffee bitterness.
