Tap at Great Divide - cloudy reddish brown - nose is dominated by oakwood smoke, with touches of banana and clove - I love smoke, so I dig the nose - flavor is medium sweet and moderately acidic - clove and overripe banana are followed by moderate dry smokiness - tangy and mildly smoky finish - I dig it - should probably be categorized as a smoked, though. Tap at brewpub-September 2012-one of the beers that is brewed on their 5 barrel system (pilot batch stuff)-pours deep brown with a small eggshell head. nose is somewhat ashy, oaky, like cigar. flavors are litely smokey sweet banana, and lite ash. pretty decent brew here albeit not one of my favorite styles. Smoke lingers long on the finish but its pretty lite in terms of intensity. Cool twist on this style! wchesser (2110) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 21, 2012
On tap off pilot system at GD. Subtle smoke and caramel malts on the nose. Well balanced with more of the same in the taste. My buddy said it was better than the Chocolate Yeti he had which he loved. My buddy is an apparently a moron b/c the chocolate yeti is f-ing amazing, but still, this was a good beer. arkurzynski (2446) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 11, 2012
Draft at source. Brownish-red-amber in color. Nice moderate smoke in the aroma along with a great lemon-citrus fruit and semi-yeasty hefeweizen base. Flavor is a semi-sweet mix of candied citrus, lemon zest, lightly toasted malt, spice and a mild smokey finish. Semi-tart, but not overly dry. As always, would love more smoke flavor, but a real winner. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Pour on tap at the 15th anniversary party, pour is reddish brown with off white head, aroma has notes of red and dark fruits, hints of yeast, some smoke comes through with some grainy bread, hints of toffee, caramel, very slight banana and clove. Taste is a mix of smoke, oak some very slight clove and spice but not much, no fruit either, with dark sugars and some slight red fruits, finishing fairly sweet, slightly dry.

Tap @ Great Divide’s 18th Anniversary Party. Somewhat hazy, brownish appearance with a tan head. Dull, grassy, straw, somewhat burnt, wheat malty, light banana, somewhat roasty aroma. Toasty, burnt malty, wheat, light smoke, fairly burnt, watery flavor. Not horrible but bleh.
