COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yetis notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a softer beast.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Super black, oily pour with a deep, deep mocha head that rests as a collar and film. Aroma is sweet and smooth dark chocolate, a sweet creaminess, brown sugar, some milk, and a good amount of oats. Taste is roasty oatmeal and roasted malts, light dark cocoa nibs with a mild, milky underlying sweetness. Maybe just a touch of coffee beans throughout. Creamy mouth feel with a lightly bitter finish. Another Yeti variant, another extremely tasty & well-done beer.

Pours coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma features roast malt, oaty, coffee and chocolate notes plus hints of dark fruit and molasses. Flavor delivers all that the aroma promises, only with more dark fruit and chocolate but less molasses. Viscous mouthfeel offers firm body, lively fizz, and some cherry in the finish. Follow the Yeti!

Aroma is rather minimal; only a smoky, roasted malt note come thru with a tiny bit of raisins to follow. Just smells like a basic imperial stout. Taste wise, its offering similar flavors as the nose. A lot of roastiness throughout the palate with some raisin sweetness. Very malty but still has a healthy kick of hops (as youd expect from a Great Divide beer). Doesnt change much after warming up either. Finishes with a lot of alcohol and some more dark fruit sweetness. Perfectly thick texture with moderate carbonation; dry on the finish. So surprised at how hoppy this is even after a year & a half; it also tastes a lot stronger than 9.5%!

2016-11-11. Black body with a modest creamy brown head fades. 3++ Aroma of roasty dark malt, hops and light alcohol. Flavour is fairly bitter up front, roasty sake malt, followed by hoppy bitterness amplified by moderate alcohol. Moderate sweet dark malt in the middle is muted. Smooth medium bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 7/4/7-8/4/16+ Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo.

Pours a deep ebony with a fair tan head which lingers a bit......aroma of coffee, slight mineral......taste is smooth, booze, chocolate, coffee, coffee bitterness, then finishes with booze. Quite chewy.

Pours black with lingering layer of brown foam that itself looks tasty. Roasty aromas combine with vanilla and some booze on the nose. Flavor is amazing and incredibly smooth. Sweet malt, some smokiness, dark chocolate, and what must be the oats rounding it out. Mouthfeel is creamy to an extreme, just the smoothest of stuff. Finish is remarkably clean given the dense palate. Excellent stuff.
