UPDATED: APR 8, 2018 Bottle from Systembolaget, roughly 8 months old. Clear, dark reddish brown with medium tan head. Raisin, vanilla, oak, a hint of cinnamon, booze. More cinnamon and raisin, some vanilla bourbon, oak. and obviously alcohol. Quite good but would need longer bottle conditioning to take the edge off.

Bottle at barley wine share. Mahogany pour, tiny ring of beige head. Boozy, warm aroma, sweet malts, vanilla, barrel notes. Taste is up front caramely malts, plenty of alcohol warmth too. Syrupy, slick

tmoreau (4980) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2018
Shared 2015, 750 ml. bottle poured to a snifter displaying a cloudy, light brown color, with a modest layer of off white froth, and some dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was toast, malt sweetness, dried fruit, hints of oakiness, spice, & vanilla, and some ready to engage booze. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar, continued sweetness, with a bit of tartness & tanginess, exposed bourbon, and earthy bitterness. Held up well. Smooth & warming.

Bottle. It poured a hazy brown color with a beige head. The aroma was of oak, malts, hops and some fruits. The taste was similar to the aroma with more oak, malts, hops, fruits, bourbon and medium carbonation with a nice aftertaste. Bottle on Mar 26, 2015, ABV = 10.2%, aged for over 12 months. Good stuff.

Pours deep amber with off-white head. Whiskey, wood, vanilla aroma. Flavor has whiskey up front, wood and vanilla booziness over a nice barley strength...moderate sweetness. Notes: on tap at the Great Divide Barrel Bar, GABF '16

Gott.
