Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Dont let ORABELLEs nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, shes a charmer- one sip and youll be in love.

Floral, citrus fruity, bready, and honeyed aromas. Hazy yellow-orange, mostly fading white head. Dry, fragrant, floral hops and bitter citrus, savory. Medium bodied, well carbonated, pretty refreshing, a slight bit dusty.

Nice American version of the best style! The Belgian tripple flavors are a little light but have a nice orange citrus accent.

Cloudy yellow, light tan head. Banana, apricot, very fruity. Some bitterness upfront, opens into a nice diversity of malt flavors. Lighter body than the average alcohol isn't terribly present. Very drinkable. Really well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Eulogy. Very hazy amber pour with some light white froth. Sweetish citrus flavors with a mild finish. Fuzzy orange pith. Need to have again.

I continue to really enjoy Great Divides foray into Belgian styles. Orabelle is a spicy number with black pepper, leaves, and coriander against a bright citrus aroma. Flavors are robust and earthy -- not juicy. Dry finish, plenty of malt backing from the rye, and stand-alone notes of orange zest, centennial (?) hops and cut grass.

2014 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours a hazy lemon yellow with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty with some orange and tropical fruits and a little coriander spice. Taste is sweet citrus and tropical fruits with some yeast and hardly any discernible bitterness. The sweetness sits on the tongue at the end. Has a sting to the mouthfeel and is semi-full and a little syrupy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into a chalice. A touch of a banana aroma crops up initially, but fades quick. This is replaced by lemon, earthy spices (like coriander and allspice), some peppercorns, and some doughy notes. Some other aromas that come up in lesser amounts are peach, curacao, a touch of grass, some dried grains, maybe even some honey, and an undertone of soap. Theres also a very light undertone of a old, damp sponge - light enough where its not really offensive. An active, unstable, soda-like white head sits atop a hazy, slightly effervescent, straw-yellow beer. The head recedes down to just a sparse island layer in the middle with a decent ring along the edges. The lace is runny, only trace amounts are left behind by the end. The beer gets close to a healthy balance between medium levels of sweet and bitter, but the sweetness is a bit more heavy than the bitter - but that could be a by product of this one being a more dry, spicy forward beer with a juicy aftertaste (a bit unique and something I wasnt prepared for). Theres a of decent amount of fizzy, soda-like carbonation (although a bit softer than most sodas) that gives the beer a (soda-like) slickness to it (albeit a touch on the creamy side for a typical soda - kinda like cream soda). The body is on the high side of medium. Its crisp, refreshing, with a dry, spicy, perhaps even grassy front, and finishes with a tangy citrus and spice. The aftertaste is moderate in strength and length with a bit of spice, citrus, and a light touch of soap.

Pours hazy straw yellow with a white head. The aroma has sweet maltiness, candy sugar, cloves, coriander, light banana and that tripel style yeast. Really comes off nicely for a six pack beer. Medium / full body with carbonation thats a bit more assertive than most tripels. The taste starts with more dryness and spice than the aroma, hints of stone fruit, velvety smooth lush malt that comes with some tripels, coriander, pepper and some earthy / spicy hops. The finish sweetens up a bit and adds some earthy hops. Far better than I expected for a tripel in a six pack.
