COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orabelle is brewed with barley, wheat, and rye. This Belgian-style tripel is a golden beauty. Its two yeast strains, orange peel, and dash of corriander impart suprising complexity and richness to this delicate ale. Don’t let ORABELLE’s nature fool you, this is one flavorful brew. Watch out, she’s a charmer- one sip and you’ll be in love.

Poured into a snifter. 2.75 A: Murky dark yellow color. About one finger of fizzy off-white head that falls quickly and leaves no lacing. 4.5 S: This is incredibly orangy. Orange, orange peel, orange, then coriander, hay, lemon meringue. Peppery yeast spiciness. It’s got so much orange about it that it’s hard to perceive much of anything else. In any case, it smells great. 4.5 T: It tastes much like it smells. Orange dominates, followed by orange peel, lemon peel, coriander, and hay. Yeast offers more pepper. This has some powerful flavors and is in stark contrast to the old world tripels, but it just tastes so damn good. 4.25 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Spritzy and tongue tingling. 4.5 D: Really tasty beer. It’s nothing like the standard tripel, but it tastes so good that it’s tough to bother with that. ★ 859 characters DavoleBomb, Sep 26, 2015 Edit

Can pour from Wally’s. Aroma is Belgian fruity esters, banana, bubblegum, with some tart. Appearance is cloudy yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and nice, leggy lacing. Taste is as aroma with moderately sweet fruity esters with late tart but also with overarching light orange and spice. Don’t taste the alcohol. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture and average to lively carbonation and lasting sweet/tart finish. Overall, a nice beer with some nice subtle complexity. Not getting the hop contributions typical for the style, but not really missing them either.

Draft to snifter at Gordos pour hazy lemon yellow with moderate white head. Nose floral, tangerine, Belgian candy, light ester. Taste ester, floral, light sweet malt. Faint bitter late palate.

A little hoppy for a tripel, which I think worked. Aromas and flavors of wheat, spice and a bit sweet. Golden color with no head. Medium weight but pretty smooth and full.

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aromas of citrus, herbs, banana and spices. Very herbal flavor with citrus. Alcohol is hidden well. Very smooth and drinkable. Medium mouth feel. Really nice would drink again.

Rated on 11-08-2015 and bottled on FEB 04 2015. This bottled beer has a small fizzy head with a lengthy retention, hazy golden body, fizzy, lively fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is wheat, yeast, citrus, fruity, banana, coriander, and spicy. The flavor is wheat, sweet, grains, pepper, yeast, citrus, fruity, spicy, and the ABV is hidden. This beer’s mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very quaffable beer that is sweet tasting for the style. I have rated better tasting beers of this style but I would drink this beer again.

Not a big fan of the corriander taste but a decently balanced triple without it.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Bottled 1/20/2015. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a quick fading head. Heavy spice, orange and yeast aroma. Flavor is coriander dominated, with a nice lemon and orange fruit background. Dry, yeast finish. Overall a fun beer to try. Unique in my opinion. Pretty good.
