Rumble IPA is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy-handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus.

On tap @ Mudville 9. This is a soft amber colored one, only a little blurr and a tall lasting dense lacing off-white head on the top. Like the aroma. Its mild yet present. The whole place Im sitting in smells like barbecue sauce and that kinda effects the while nosing experience on this one quite a bit, but I do get hints of citrus and soft vanilla in between all the sweetness from the BBQ sauce. The taste however is easier. Theres a fair amount of raw apply sweetness/sourness. Quite unlike your average IPA this. Its nice and oily in the mouth while its about average on the bubbles. A hint of wood acidity blended with bitter piney hops. Slightly astringent in a mild way also. Actually quite good tasting this. 10.06.2015

Pours a hazy copper-golden with an antique white head. Pungent aroma. Caramel malt, citrus, oak, and oaky vanilla. Soft, nearly cottony mouthfeel. A lot of vanilla flavor got picked up from the oak. Caramel malt comes through prominently as well and sweetens the beer to balance the bitter and citrus contribution of the hop profile.

Mellow citrus and pine aroma. Hazy copper body with sediment floating around. Topped with a thin skim coat off-white head. Bold bitter bite with a citrusy malt taste. Has a little zest but finishes on the cleaner side. It has a style that is neither west coast, east coast or English IPA for that matter. In other words it has a more distinct taste than most in this category.
