UPDATED: JAN 17, 2009 Draft...Mid-GABF ’06, Great Divide Open House, Denver... Hazy golden ale with a large, frothy, white head. Decent retention. Meek floral aroma and grainy flavor. Mild sweetness and tanginess with a gentle hop bite. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Crisp, clean finish. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2006
Tap at Great Divide. Pours to an extremely carbonated unfiltered straw/caramel body. Thick lasting white head. The flavor is lightly ricey tart pale malt. Sounds boring, but tastes great. The aroma is lightly floral simple pale malts and light rice. The palate is smooth, very easy drinking. Nice texture and a medium mouthfeel. I’ll give credit where it’s due, this is an easy drinking beer. I liked it a lot. jimvy (131) - O’Fallon, Missouri, USA - OCT 2, 2006
On tap at the Great Divide Brewery Tour 9/28/06. Aroma is clean, light malt, almost nothing though. Color is light straw, slight haziness, white head. Flavor - very light and clean, almost a blonde. Finishes dry--nothing negative. Overall, a good lawnmower beer, but fairly tasteless. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - SEP 29, 2006
sampled at brewery. Lightly hazy straw color. Aroma is light malts and grains. Taste is light sweet malts and grain up front with a crisp dry finish. not a bad summertime session beer. Mumpu (46) - USA - SEP 17, 2006
Golden with a small head. Dry crisp palate with light hops and a hint of rice cereal. Nice light summer beer.

I am not a big fan of rice beer...but whenever Great Divide brews, they bring the pain. I would have liked a little more malty aroma, and perhaps a bit of citrus finish to coincide with the summer beer catagory, but hey - its rice beer. What can you do? dolemike1 (1288) - Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 27, 2006
Golden, clear, small white head, light nose, some malt, a bit of hops, flavor the same, not impressive but not horrible. bitter (1136) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - JAN 2, 2006
this one caught my attention because the brewmaster kinda skipped over the tap as we sampled the hibernation, hercules, etc.
this once is actually brewed with rice. which aint the norm for a micro or should i say a good micro. golden hazed appearance with white head. slight malt crunch nose. palate marks same territory with a crisp easy drinkn fresh beer. lemon zest and tinge of bitterness. GABF week. Pours very light color with an ok head. Light malt with some herbal hints and a slight fruitiness. Flavor is very light but clean and easy drinking wiht some light malt and a touch of bitterness. Ok overall, but not up to GD’s standards. BrockLanders (780) - Panama City, Florida, USA - DEC 14, 2005
On tap at the brewery, GABF week. Light gold appearance on the pour....small white head. Fruity malts in the nose...very light. Taste is the same, dry, malty, doughy...not much for me to like. Maybe it’s the rice...who knows. I tried it...that’s about it.
