Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, smoke, toffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, smoked, plastic, clammy sweet smoke. IMO not Bamberg smoke at all ;O) Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and somewhat smoked. Ham like. Dark malt, smoked and vegetables. Ends dry and roasted malt flavoured finish. A bit simple and light for a baltic porter, not sure about the combo of German malt, hops and Bamberg smoke for a Baltic porter. Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has strong notes of smoke - from beech wood combined with medium notes of rope and light notes of tar. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, beech wood smoke, and rope, leading to a dry smokey finish. The body is light. joergen (28964) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2010
