3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
At DENVer rare beer tasting. Kind of reddish with small head. Dark fruits, cherry funk, a touch of spice hit the nostrils. Flavor follows with white wine oak to finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewery before the Friday GABF session. Not very red - sort of a hazy amber color. Small off-white head leaving a ring. Tart cherries, funk, and wood on the aroma. Flavor has caramel, sour cherries, wood, and slight buttered popcorn. A little grainy. Somewhat acidic on the palate with medium body. Solid beer, but not a standout in the style.
