JugOPunch (83) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 9, 2006
12oz bottle: Pours an orange brown. Aroma is slightly hoppy but mostly malt sweetness. Decent body with a crisp hop bite that is overpowered by the malt especially towards the end. Smooth mouth feel. This was good but nothing special. A bit overrated.

DrunkenWeasel (224) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 9, 2006
Pours medium amber with a medium white head. Smells fairly hoppy with floral and pine notes most prominent. Taste is standard ipa with a nice crisp hop kick and subtle caramel undertones. Aftertaste is a short lived hop taste tappering off with a slightly fizzy feeling.

Not really an IPA guy, but I thought this was a nice beer. 12 oz bottle. Poured a sunny amber with a meringue colored enormous pillowy head which lasted all the way to the end. What I thought at first was pine (and what the label says is pine) really turned out to be freshly cut pineapple dominant in the aroma. Some floral notes there too - maybe lilac? Flavors of pine, grapefruit, and chlorophyll (like raw dandelions). Medium carbonation, bitter, tart, slightly astringent with a metallic finish with some noticeable alcohol. Really a good IPA.

Hazy orange-amber w/ frothy light tan ring of foam. Fresh aroma of citrus & pine w/ lovely sticky, sweet caramel & toffee notes. Sticky, resiny, chewy feel. Flavour is quite hoppy & bitter w/ a solid malty foundation giving it a rich, appetizing complexity. Fabulous brew.

Clear light copper color with just off white fluffy head. Hop aroma and yeast I think. The taste is smooth hops and a malt flavor that seems to bookend the experience until the next sip. I can feel the grain flavor sitting on my tongue while the hops meander around it. Pretty good IPA. I think the hops could be kicked up a notch to better match the delicious malt flavor. I can’t place the tanginess in the taste, maybe yeast. It does leave a good aftertaste in your mouth.

Foxbush (2119) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 24, 2006
This is a top notch IPA. It poured with a tanish head and some lacing. The color was a hazy amber. The creamy texture was delicious. The citrus like flavors and bitterness were well balanced. The finish was smooth and wanting you to come back for more. The end came too soon. This is an IPA to enjoy!!! It makes you wonder why bother with other beers.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2006 What a kick ass IPA this turned out to be. Totally unexpected..after having some of the so called "better" IPA’s out there. Very well balanced. Color was Deep, dark gold, you cant see through the other side of glass. Aroma is sweet chocolates, malts and strong hops. Flavor is malts, perfect amount of hops, but has a chocolately/caramel sweetness that tops it off amazingly. Silky smooth texture, that finishes not long..but not short..somewhere in between..like I said, balanced. This beer should not be underestimated. THANK YOU GREAT DIVIDE!

22oz bomber, no date. Pours a hazy orange red with a small beige head. Aroma is a lot like their Denver pale--some earthy hops with a caramel malt background. Taste like the same earthy hops and some pine, sweet caramel malts appear again, and finishes with a lingering bitterness. Very low carbonation, medium bodied. Pretty good, though there are plenty of others out there that are better.

750mL:Pours a big foamy head, big bubbles, slightly off-white. Appearance of semi-cloudy amber red-brown color. Moderately weak aroma of hops. Hoppy piney dry taste, bitter to start, but sort of mellows out, slight malty taste.

Poured from a 12oz bottle an amber color with a tan head. Very good lacing. Aroma was complex with lots of piney hops. The citrus hops came through in the flavor, a very good sweet grapefruit with a touch of caramel malts.
