Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle. Have wanted to try this for a long time. Love the brewery. Now the beer. A beautiful rocky head that clings to the glass in chunks. Golden orange and clear body. Surprisingly some bready, nutty notes immediately apparent with the citrus and apricot aroma. Pleasant. Taste is very balanced and smooth. Malty sweetness with average bitterness. Hops are grassy and fresh-tasting. The texture is very soft almost pillowy. I was expecting a little rougher texture so I dont know what to make of it except enjoyment. The beer goes down so easy. But the memory of it lingers long afterwards. Body is medium-to-full. Not an imperial, but close. Excellent brew. I was not disappointed.

12oz Bottle. Big sticky head, deep vibrant copper, good carb. Smell caramel, roasted malt, biscuit, vanilla, very big piney/sprucey/resinous scent, strong malt base. Taste Caramel, sugar syrup, northwest hops, theres something there I just cannot place so Ill just call it umami. Hercules is one of my all-time favorites, and this is quite up to par.

Birra abbastanza limpida dal colore Biondo. Schiuma ampia bianca a grana fine, frizzantina. Al naso molto fresca, erbacea e floreale. Piacevolissima bevuta con i luppoli che esplodono freschi, con agrumi, erbe, amarezza perfettamente equilibrata con una base di malto avvertibile. Alcol ben presente, Carbonazione media perfetta, corpo medio avvolgente.

Butelka 0,355l Kolor złoty, lekko zmętniony, piana drobnopęcherzykowa trzyma się dobrze i ładnie osiada na szkle. Aromat owocw tropikalnych, żywic i ciasteczek. W smaku słodkie, goryczka średnia, owocowa zalegająca na podniebieniu, taki średniak z wyższym wskazaniem. Mnie nie zachwyciło.

Aroma - subtle caramel malt, the hops are slightly juicy and some pine. Appearance - the body is a clean amber. The head is 2+" and white, settling very slowly. Nice foamy lacing. Taste - has a rich caramel backbone. Hops are fairly straight forward mostly of a spruce nature. There is a little wood at the far edges. Very smooth. Palate - medium body, semi-oily feel, carbonation is average, finish is bitter.

Bottle. Bottled on 12 May 16. Clear copper color with a medium off-white head that has fair retention. The aroma is medium with pine and caramel malts. The taste. like the aroma, is pine and caramel. The body and palate is medium. Finishes long, dry and a bit of lingering minerals. Overall. OK. I did not realize until after I got home and opened this that it was old. I will have to re-rate a known fresh sample sometime.
