Pours just slightly cloudy and golden with minimal head. Weak malty aroma with some hoppiness. Tart sour citrusy body leaves me wondering if I waited too long to drink this. Rather sticky, unbalanced palate has no pronounced flavor other than its tartness. Did I mention it also tastes watered down? austinpowers (2828) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 1, 2002
So, I generally despise this style, likening it to a glass of Citrona or Olde English 800, but I’ll try to be fair on this occasion. A crisp, dry semi-wheaty brew greets your lips. Not great, and not all that wheaty. Why does anyone drink American Wheats? - oops, I’m forgetting to be fair. Anyway, lots of carbo and boring as hell. I expect more from the excellent Great Divide Brewery. Ernest (7696) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 23, 2002
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2003 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with light notes of orange and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Disappointing...biting carbo, macro-like aroma, and the flavor profile includes a mildly foul aftertaste. By far the worst product from this otherwise good brewery. Cloudy piss yellow, slimy white head. Faint aroma, faint taste, faint everything. There’s that funny artificial sweet/sour flavor again...I think I’ve found the first brewery whose beers I don’t like, across the board. Aggie80 (818) - Michigan, USA - SEP 23, 2002
The typical wheat beer flavors came as a mild aftertaste deep in the throat. Weak head and lace, good color not as cloudy as most wheat beers.

Indeed, a good wheat beer. Toasty wheat, spice, and champagne in the aroma. Malty flavor, the wheat was somewhat muted by the complexities in the smell. Hint of skunkiness in the smell which reappears in the finish, still a good beer though. Andrew196 (1902) - Katy, Texas, USA - SEP 16, 2002
unlike any wheat I have had before...aroma was of yeast and white wine. The taste was very full and complex with spice and a friendly malt taste. the finsih left something to be desired though rather acidic with an almost adjunct malt taste which lingered. Honey smell, slight citrus taste, bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUN 13, 2002
Light hazy straw color with a minimal fluffy off white head. Acidic malt aroma. Light taffy flavors along with mild malt. Bitter and acidic in the finish. Finish is a bit rough makes me want another - of something else.
