light amber/orange color, aroma of spices, figs, prunes, flavors of figs, prunes and other dark fruits, lots of spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, graham cracker, yeast, interesting and enjoyable
On tap at Great Divide. Pour is hazy orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Big spice, medicinal, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, nutmeg, cinnamon, light herbs, and coriander in the aroma. Taste is big thanksgiving spice, nutmeg, pumpkin, lavender, a touch of vanilla, yams, and graham crackers with a dry spicy finish. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Pretty nice saison. Really unique Saison from the pilot system. I figured I had to try the one otherwise unavailable beer from the tap room.
Aroma of fruity esters, and spices. Not sure which ones...
Taste is pleasingly dry, yet fruity. Dry lingering finish of esters and spice. Very different, good beer. wchesser (2140) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Dark golden with a pillowy fading head. Nose is very spicy: cloves and some orange peel, maybe some belgiany esters poking through. Taste starts sweet and finishes with spice and yeast notes. Full bodied, and I suppose saison-y. Nice. notalush (5922) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Tap at GD - pilot system - apparently spiced with "winter spices" - hazy orange - lively body with a well-sustained head - nose is a bit overspiced (all spice, cardamom) so it is hard to detect anything else in the nose - flavor is abit better - sweet at first, with notes of overripe apples - dries out a bit and develops a tartness as the spices arrive - some cardamom and spicy white pepper - some mild earthy phenols and bubblegum esters late - spicy finish - decent.
