Bottle. Glad I found some of this the other day in Charlotte. I’d been looking for it for a while now. Pours out a black color with a brown head on it - no shock there. Smell is coffee, roasted malts, espresso, some chocolate, no hops, no alcohol, great smelling beer - reminds me of founders Breakfast Stout. Taste is smooth and bitter, not the hop bitter, but coffee bitter. Roasted smell, thick, and good. Reminds me alot of founders with an added bourbon flavor yet not enough bourbon to be considered the KBS. This beer is good, but it is my new philosophy that not all beers develop over time. Drink this fresh, now, it is as good as it will get. More time and it could turn into a bourbon bomb.
When I find a new Yeti I tend to put it away for awhile. This Yeti Espresso Oak Aged was found at a liquor store on Cerillos Road in Santa Fe last summer. I have held off until now. Cooled and now poured into my Buffalo Bayou tulip glass, I see the usual Yeti dark brown, almost black body. The head comes on strong, a medium tan color, and dissipates into a rim of foam around the glass. I take a sniff, ah, delightful. Baker's chocolate, fresh bread, caramel. Finally a taste, Coffee, yes I get that, chocolate, strong ash or charcoal, a bit of berry. It comes heavy with the bitterness start to finish. Perhaps not my favorite of the Yetis but better than the vast majority of imperial stouts. Great Divide delivers again. bigcat03 (340) - Columbus, Nebraska, USA - DEC 24, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2017 Booked on Dec 11, 2011. Didn't plan on hiding it away for THAT long! Poured into a globe glass. Black color and a thick chocolate colored head. Aroma is HUGE and has espresso, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, black licorice and oak. Initial taste is rich with everything listed above plus a little booze. Kind if an oaky finish. Palate is full and smooth.I'm sure this developed a little past the 9% listed on the bottle. Man, this is good. 9/5/8/5/17 thomat (4294) - Goteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 8, 2017

Prawie czarne nieprzezroczyste piwo z piękną beżową pianą. Aromat głównie kawa, trochę palonego słodu i chmielu. W smaku kawa, potem gorzka czekolada i chmiel. Finisz wytrawny. Mało zaznaczona beczka, trochę można wyczuć wanilii. Całość bardzo dobra Oxytocin (256) - AUSTRIA - OCT 26, 2017
650 ml bottle, shared by Sander, many thanks.
nearly black with brown head (quickly diminishing).
coffee, sark chocolate, woody, smoke, hazelnuts, tobacco, really roasty.
medium to full body with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel; light hoppy bitterness and medium roasty bitterness (which is quite lasting); soft sweetness. Aromas are well balanced. Excellent beer!. PowY (1284) - AUSTRIA - OCT 20, 2017
650 ml bottle, shared by Sander, many thanks. Pours a nearly black with a quickly disappearing light brown head. The aroma is full with coffee, mocha along with notes of hazelnuts and tobacco. Medium-full, creamy body with a low carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a medium, lasting bitterness. The flavor is again full with loads of coffee and chocolate, some burnt notes, nuts. Finishes bitter roasty with coffee, some woody notes and maybe hints of herbal hops. Pretty roasty and coffee forward but balanced a t the same time, with a very reluctant sweetness. Excellent!
