COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divides Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yetis hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Great and close to the oak aged version. Nice malty, roasted aroma with some alcohol and sweetness. Cool black color with minimal head retention. Could not see through it. Same deep roasted flavors as would be expected, coffee essence. Smooth palate, almost oily. This is so good.

0,355l bottle from Alko. Pours pitch black colour with small head. Aroma of heavy roasted malts and chocolate, coffee, cocoa, caramel and toffee, some hoppiness, ash. Medium to full body, balancing sweetness and bitterness.

3 finger beautiful tan coloured head that leaves great lacing. Pitch black beer. Aroma is like a toffee and citrus zest mudcake, very nice. Taste is ... holy shit. So much going on. Creamy, slightly vinous chocolate, toffee and a bit of soy and coffee as it enters the mouth and then a wave of citric hop bitterness (that really reminds me of amarillo and/or citra hops) washes over the palate. It ends with a great warming alcohol burn. Not overly thick but an ok thickness, its just a shame that it doesnt stick to the palate that much. Ive always heard good things about this beer but never tried it until now, Ive really been missing out.. and to think this is easily obtainable here in Sweden. Excellent stout.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a nice tan head. Nose is heavy on the booze, rum and raisin, coffee and toasted malts. Taste is sweet rum and raisin, burnt chocolate with a bitter finish. Taste develops as it warms up. A beautiful boozy hit, would be a great nightcap.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2016 330ml bottle, shared by Mart, thanks! Opaque dark brown beer, medium thick dark brown head. Looks great. Smells like chocolate cake, vanilla, roast, some alchol notes, caramel, mild burned notes. Flavor is ashy, leather, way less sweet than the nose, tarry finish, more ash, licorice, soy, surprising amount of hops in the finish, finish feels oily, ashy. Big beer, almost chewy.
